Demonstrate Barclaycard Business' position of authority within the company credit card sector by talking to business decision makers and users of company cards.

Solution

Lexis focused on travel, as one of the key areas of spend for company credit cards. For the last five years, this focus has seen us promoting the Barclaycard Business Travel Survey - a survey of 2,500 company credit card holders. The survey enables Barclaycard Business to be a commentator on business travel trends and has seen it become one of the main authorities in this arena. Launched in February each year at the Business Travel Show, the team then spends the next 3 months exploiting different angles through multiple media access points including trade, nationals, travel supplements, vertical media, online and women’s titles.

Results

Each year of exploitation, we have exceeded our targets of media coverage year on year. The 2006 survey achieved an exceptional 206 pieces of 100% positive coverage. A notable success came from the launch of a report into Business Travel in 2015 at the Business Travel Show - with results including a three page editorial piece in Buying Business Travel.
